It was a gift and I haven't seen it, but I'm told by stepfather immediately went and changed out the buckle he was wearing to show off the new one! He usually likes scrimshaw or nautical themes but said this one was great and liked the historical/cultural element. Arrived in plenty of time too.

I ordered the XL, because I usually wear a 42" waist. Adding this buckle added about 2" to the overall length, making it actually closer to 44". There aren't further holes to compensate; the last hole falls at 42". Consequently, I have not actually been able to use this buckle. I'll have to buy another belt to compensate.

Durable Beyond Belief

I bought one about 16 years ago and it was in incredible shape for being that old and worn almost daily. After some weight gain, I allowed too much pressure on the buckle tip (for belt hole) and the tip finally gave way and broke off. That was my fault and I'm confident the belt would have lasted another 16 years easily. I should have just moved the buckle. I'm going to purchase another one as soon as I complete this review.

I couldn't be more delighted with this belt and buckle! I got these for my husband for Father's Day and he loves them! Very high quality belt, with thick, solid leather and very nice celtic embossing. The Celtic Lion buckle is solid, and beautifully designed. A great addition to any wardrobe! Looks great with low-rise jeans!
