This is a great hat: shapely, firmly-fitting, and really WARM! It's easy to care for -- just hand-wash and dry flat in the air -- easy to stuff in a pocket and take anywhere, and it's really pretty.
Same, but different fit

I ordered the mulberry colored version previously and it fits beautifully. Unfortunately the moss colored version is significantly smaller either due to yarn, pattern sizing, or differences in the tightness of the knitting stitches. Because of the fit, I am not as enamored of this purchase as I am with the previous.
nice cap, but not finished

This is a very nice, well-made cap, except that it was not finished after it was knitted. It needed to be blocked. As other reviewers have noted, it arrived looking like a tight-fitting cap. Not having a hat block, I blocked it the way a sweater is blocked: wet it thoroughly, press the excess water out in a towel, and pin it down to a towel in the dimensions desired. I added a little more than an inch and a half each to the width, length (minus the brim), and the crown, let it dry, and then repeated the process after turning it halfway. The results were close to the photo, although not exact. The brim is not rigid, and it's not quite as slouchy as the photo. But it was close enough to keep. Considering the price, especially, I should not have had to do this. Better attention needs to be paid to quality control with the knitters.

I OWN 4 OF THESE HATS AND ONLY THE IVORY ONE FITS PERFECTLY. THE OTHERS WERE KNIT TOO FAST AND VERY LOOSE, THEY ARE NOT SNUG, THEY ARE VERY HIGH PRICED FOR SUCH POOR FINDINGS. NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER.

I love the color, feel and style of this hat. My only complaint is that the brim is too big and "wavy" and isn't really how it is shown in the picture. It's a bit pricey but is well made and the yarn is soft and comfortable.

This is a lovely hat but is not at all as pictured the one pictured looks big and substantial. The one I received barely fits and looks like a different style altogether. It would probably fit a child or a small-headed adult. But unfortunately, not me. It is going back.

The color is wonderful and goes with everything, and it is very warm. I wish it came in a large size with wider brim for more height and and coverage. In a city full of cuffed knitted caps, this hat stands out as truly original and genuinely Irish.

Gift wrap was very well done. Tight knit for warmth, very soft wool. My wife loves it and gets compliments. It makes her look very cute! Get the embossed green tree of life hoodie to match the moss hat - they look great together! Gaelsong - stock a matching merino wool or cashmere scarf, please.

Came in perfect condition and fits me so well. It looks great and keeps my head warm too. I ordered it in Moss Green and it makes a great neutral color to add to any winter outfit. Absolutely love it.

I own three of this hat -Excellent dog-walking hat is flattering for we wide-cheekboned Irish girls. I only wish it came in a large size, for more crown and brim fullness on my head.
