I enjoy seeing the internal movements of gears in my new pocket watch. It keeps time accurately. And, I appreciate having the option of exchanging the ends of the chain to either attach to a belt or go through a buttonhole. With both sides of the watch open, I place it on a level surface to keep an eye on the time at a glance. Well worth the price!

This pocket watch arrived displayed in a nice box. It is stunning. I purchased the thistle design. I gave it as a Christening gift for a baby boy of Scottish descent. It is a timeless piece and it will be appreciated when he is older. I would definitely recommend this watch. For the money you cannot go wrong. No batteries to worry about and a good weighted chain to attach it to is included.

How wonderful to have such a quality timepiece! The case is substantial and well-made, and the watch keeps good time. I absolutely love not worrying about needing to replace a battery. I carry mine in my purse, the chain looped through the handle ring hardware. Fascinating to watch the tiny gears all working together so smoothly.

I had previously bought the Claddagh watch; the Celtic Knot watch is just as beautiful. The recipients were stunned and excited; even the adults loved watching the movement. The workmanship is just gorgeous. Both will be heirlooms for generations to come.

Love the watch. It is beautifully made. Love the design and the pewter color which I believe is better than silver. It came about 4 days after it was shipped from the company. It keeps time like a champ. just got to remember to wind it at least twice a day.

thanks for ruining our Christmas, Gaelrip!I got the mech. watch and as I opened it, the plastic(plastic!) facecover fell out of it. doesn't keep time. worthless garbage. The Thistle watch is a beautifully-made timepiece. It's heavy-duty enough to be worn regularly, and yet fancy enough to be worn for a dressy occasion. I also love that it was made in the UK. It's difficult to find items like this that aren't made in China. I was pleased and proud to be able to present such a lovely watch as a gift on Christmas!

I bought this as a gift for my husband who collects pocket watches; especially the mechanical ones. The open-face of the watch is VERY cool. It allows you to see all the inner workings as it ticks. The fob piece is perfect for suit vests, if you wear them a lot. The engraved detail (he has the crossed thistles) is great. Best part of all: no battery ever needed! All you do is wind!
