Galesong offers so few items to men, but they do offer this amazing sweater. I've wanted it for a long time, and I'm very happy to have it now. I know I will enjoy it for years to come.

I had been considering buying this sweater for several years and finally took the plunge. Deciding on what size to get was difficult. Normally I purchase XL in women's sweaters and L in men's, but, going by the measurements and the reviews, I choose medium. It does fit well, but if someone wants it to fit big and long, I would suggest getting his/her usual size. The odor is quite noticeable, especially fresh out of the package. I don't mind it, but it may bother others until it has ample time to air out. The quality is superb and it is very warm. I am very happy with my purchase.

So many other reviewers are raving about this sweater and I agree. It's wonderful, destined to be an heirloom. I wanted to add a note for ladies about sizing. These are generously sized. I wear a women's 18, or a 16 in designer brands, and the size small fits me perfectly.

This sweater is so soft and warm and I love that it comes from black sheep in Ireland and from a mill that's been in operation for so long. It was a wonderful purchase! I'm female, 5'3" and 130 lbs., but bought it in the unisex medium so that it'll be vastly oversized to wear over thick turtlenecks. I love it!

I bought this sweater as a Christmas gift to myself. I'm petite, but I like over-sized sweaters. I LOVE the fact that it's from a natural black sheep and from such an old traditional mill. The wool is soft and thick and very cuddly. It was a wonderful buy.

I purchased this organic black sheep sweater from GaelSong several years ago, and I must say it wears exceptionally well. The sweater still looks almost as nice as it did nearly ten years ago, and is just as warm and water resistant. I highly recommend this product if you want a REAL Aran sweater that retains all the craftsmanship, comfort, and ruggedness of the original sweater worn by the Aran fishermen of old.

This is a very nice wool sweater. I wore it once but my boyfriend was allergic to it, so I'll have to wash it soon. It looks quite thick but isn't super tightly woven, so it needs to be layered to be super warm. I like that it is unprocessed wool. The size is a bit large though for the size. I got a small but it fits on me like a medium or large. But I suppose that's better than if it was too tight and small. It was delivered on time.

My husband surprised me with this sweater in "Black Sheep" for my birthday. It is gorgeous, and I am so tickled to have my first wool sweater! Only regret is that it is too hot to wear it right now. Really good price for such great quality.

Before purchasing this sweater, I read previous reviews. I have been looking for the perfect fisherman's sweater for a long time. I was excited to get this sweater. Organic fabrics and quality garments are important to me. I do not purchase from China. Very happy about its authenticity. Although it is my new favorite sweater I was a bit disappointed that it is not as soft as some of the reviews said. I need to wear a a shirt under it. A little scratchy. I still love it though.

This sweater is worth every penny. When I got it out of the box I was swept away by the smell of it, I could smell the barn and the hay and the sheep. Putting the sweater on I was so delighted that it fit perfectly. I recommend this to anyone looking for an investment of a lifetime. I got so many compliments the first day I wore it. By far my favorite. Such beautiful craftsmanship!

This sweater is to die for: divinely soft wool, so cozy I could sleep in it, in the natural colors of Jacob sheep, a rare heritage breed. Organic wool is hard to find, as is a sweater of this quality. It looks fabulous with brown slacks. The only drawback is that it's quite long (I'm short).

As a survivor of the May 22 Joplin Mo tornado my family and I are safe and in good health. I'm truly thankful for the many kind and thoughful people that have touched our lives. My collection of the black sheep sweaters blew away, and again I'm glad that you still offer these sweaters because I do enjoy them so much. if you want a real authentic irish sweater, then this is the one. very warm. made very generously, for fit. thinking of buying one more. this is a must have, for going out to dinner to keeping you very warm on the slopes. ohhh it looks great. expect lots of compliments. i guarantee it.

In our home you ask what do want for christmas and my response was of course the black sheep sweater! I own just as many kilts as i do scottish/irish sweaters. The day my present arrived I tried it on and we found a defect in the left shoulder sleeve. My wife called and the exchange went as smooth as a good 12 year single malt scotch! The sweater is the best in my collection, and the response from the public has always been positive! Can't wait to order more - thank you, James Lee

This is the real deal. An Irish knit sweater from a black sheep. I've been looking for one sporadically for years, and this is it. Very high quality, heavy weight, soft wool, very traditional styling.

This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. From the fact that the sweater is completely organic (right down to the feed the sheep were fed) to the luxurious quality of the thick, dark wool. It's become a "must" with almost anything I wear. This is one of those things you buy that will last a lifetime. It's fabulous!
