I ordered the blue version of this dress. Had wanted it so long. But when it arrived I was disappointed. It did not look like it does in the online or mailed catalogue. It looks cheaper. I briefly tried it on, but also didn't like how it hung on me. Just didn't look right. It's in a box for return today. I was so sorry, I had really looked forward to it and love everything else I have ever ordered from Gaelsong.

I have been in love with this dress for years- before they even sold multiple colors! I never felt daring enough to buy one because I am plus size and so many materials and styles from regular vendors just do not work for my shape. I am a size 26/28 with most trendy plus size companies, and my sister gave me a 3x in the blue as a surprise (she's the best). This dress, however, is perfect. It is made in India, from a soft, forgiving jersey type material that breathes and moves with you in a way that is floaty - not clingy and bouncy. The black mesh overlay softens your curves so you look dressy and more polished and gives the dress the appearance of more structure while providing detailing in that beautiful jewel tone I had grown to love. I added a gentle petticoat to make it more bell shaped on my body, and I think it looked even better. I have flabby arms and always wear sweaters to hide them but this dress, though sleeveless, somehow makes me willing to bypass the shrug. A shrug would look good, though! The way the black overlay is pleated on the chest really leaves a way for any bustline to look great : mine is filled out so the mesh had a sort of puff look to it, a smaller chest would have a more definite pleat (like the picture). I am still in love with this dress, wishing I had been daring enough to get it years ago but now it's extra special. Summer weddings to attend? This is a great option.
