"When I got this ring it looked gorgeous coming out of the box and the engraving is lovely. The problem I had was that after the first day it started tarnishing. The website says sterling silver and I have had sterling silver rings that have lasted long with out tarnishing. By the second day the inside was completely tarnished and it began showing on the outside. I can't say anything for the gold ring, and like I said it is a beautiful ring, but the silver ring that I received did not hold up very well. "

"I too have purchased this ring and I love mine. The only tarnishing that I have noticed is that the engraving is getting darker as time goes on but I feel that that only enhances the effect and beauty of the ring. I have not taken it off since I received it at Christmas."

"My husband and I purchased these rings as our wedding bands, and neither of us has had problems with tarnishing. .925 sterling silver is pure silver mixed with small amounts of nickel and other metals for strength - the nickel is what causes tarnishing, which will vary from person to person based on their personal chemistry. For my jewelry that *does* tarnish, I find that coating it with a layer or two of clear nail polish stops the problem and holds up for a surprisingly long time - give it a try!"

"I bought a silver ring from this company , for my wedding. And it started to tarnish also, especially if my hands were in cleaning water.I found the solution to the problem, all you need to do is, use a soft tooth brush and tooth paste, like the original pepsodent ( the white paste )brush it lightly on your ring and rinse. It should be nice and shiny again!If you are using bleach , take your rings off, bleach will damage the finish."

"My boyfriend and I both own this ring in Sterling. We love them. I noticed alot of comments about tarnishing. Sterling Silver does tarnish. The Sterling part (just like the 925 stamp) indicates the percentage of pure silver 92.5% in the product. All silver tarnishes. How fast it tarnishes is based on body chemistry and your care of the item. Keep it away from chemicals and moisture and it will tarnish less - don't take it in the shower, don't clean with it on, for instance. Part of the reason for offering a 9k version is that the ring will tarnish less with even a small percentage of gold content. Theresa Hood River Jewelers "

"I received the ring as a gift after finding it in a store in Colorado in 4/2008. I wear it almost every day and have not had any difficulty with tarnishing. Mine is stamped fusion 925 inside. It is my all time favorite ring!"

"NEVER wear your silver jewelry when putting your hands in bleach or anything that has bleach in, be it cleaning supplies or whatever. This will instantly turn your ring a nasty gray color. If this happens take toothbrush & toothpaste & scrub, scrub, scrub. (Preferably something with baking soda in it.) I personally have done this a million times while pushing my laundry down and forgetting I had put bleach in the load."
