The problem I had was that after the first day it started tarnishing. The website says sterling silver and I have had sterling silver rings that have lasted long with out tarnishing. By the second day the inside was completely tarnished and it began showing on the outside. I can't say anything for the gold ring, and like I said it is a beautiful ring, but the silver ring that I received did not hold up very well. " I Love My Elvish Ring

The only tarnishing that I have noticed is that the engraving is getting darker as time goes on but I feel that that only enhances the effect and beauty of the ring. I have not taken it off since I received it at Christmas." Elvish Love Ring

For my jewelry that *does* tarnish, I find that coating it with a layer or two of clear nail polish stops the problem and holds up for a surprisingly long time - give it a try!" I love my ring

And it started to tarnish also, especially if my hands were in cleaning water.I found the solution to the problem, all you need to do is, use a soft tooth brush and tooth paste, like the original pepsodent ( the white paste )brush it lightly on your ring and rinse. It should be nice and shiny again! If you are using bleach , take your rings off, bleach will damage the finish."
