Celtic Tableware
Created by master artisans in a small family workshop in a remote Irish village, this extraordinary hand-thrown pottery is a pleasure to hold. Celtic mugs (12 oz.) feature a central spiral and a ring of knotwork around the base, and have a delightfully subtle curved shape. The cane-handled teapot (40 oz.) is a-swirl with zoomorphic figures and knotwork, with a sweeping wave on the lid. Bowls (6 1/2" diameter) have a swirling lip like waves on the shore, and feature spirals and knotwork on the bottom of the interior. Plates have a raised rim and knotwork medallion in the center. Dinner plates measure 10 3/4" diameter; side plates are 7 1/2" diameter. All pieces are individually hand-glazed to enhance the spontaneous nature of the finish - no two pieces will ever be exactly the same. Available in Seashore or Mountain Green.
