Danu Statue
Danu the mother goddess brings the swift-running water, and overflowing abundance. She was widely revered -- the Danube River and many places in Ireland bear her name. Detailed statue in an extraordinary blue-green finish shows Danu bearing an overflowing basin. Enrobed in a cape depicting the tree of life under the night sky, Danu is a symbol of fertility and the life force. "I agree that the pictures do not do justice in representing this statue's striking beauty. I also received mine as a present. I've loved the stories of Danu for decades, but had no idea there was a statue for her. She is stunning to look at--dark, mysterious, beautiful! She sits on a little daytime altar with Kwan Yin and Sarasvati and each day I am thankful to the friends who brought her to me!"
