The Book of Kells, painstakingly crafted by medieval monks, has been an inspiration both spiritual and artistic for centuries. Let the art of the Book of Kells inspire your musings in these 128-page journals. 7" x 9", lined, smooth cream archival paper. Handstitched coptic binding, a style developed by 4th century Christians in Egypt, allows the journal to open perfectly flat. A unique accordion-style memento pouch is mounted inside the back cover. Choose from Quonium, Chi Rho, Four Evangelists, or Iudaea.

"I ordered the journal in "iudaea" and it is very colorful and intricate; the description given above is right on; there is a little pocket in one of the covers and it's stiched so that it lays flat;Little aspects of the painting/picture on the cover have reflective gold;On the inside back cover is a brief history of the Kells. This is very beautiful and bound to "wow" someone as a gift."

"For my journals I look for something artsy just to add something to the routine of writing down my dailys. The kells journal does not disappoint. The handstitched binding gives the journal the look and feel of being both artsy and practical."
