Lovely and durable While these are a bit spendy as far as rune sets go, they ended up being exactly what I was looking for. Other sets made of wood and irregular shaped stone were pretty, but didn't feel right when I held them. The ceramic sets were absolutely dreadful to touch and use. I love that these are made of a hefty pewter and are all round in shape, about the size of buttons on a ladies blouse. The runes are well made with a rustic, rough hewn sort of beauty, the front features the runes carved in clearly, the back is a subtle scale shaped pattern. They have an absolutely lovely weight and are very enjoyable to work with. I plan to personalize them by painting in the rune indentations with my own homemade red paint for something more traditional. The only thing I would caution buyers about is that the sheet that comes with them for divination purposes is not all that accurate or in depth. Best to purchase a book for accurate traditional meanings. I own several as there seem to be differing opinions about the true meanings of the runes and would urge anyone seriously interested in runes to do some research. –
