Andrew McGavin Designs is a small company based in the Scottish Highlands. Andrew and his partner Janet specialize in high quality, handcrafted gifts based on ancient Celtic art and design; they hand-make all their products in a small workshop in Forres, Morayshire (on the Malt Whisky trail!)

Andrew and Janet's feeling for the Scottish landscape and heritage shines through each piece. Each summer, they travel the north of Scotland selling their wares at festivals, which, they say, gives them "an opportunity to meet visitors from all over the world, see different places and take thousands of photographs of their fantastic country."

Andrew is particularly inspired by the standing stones throughout Scotland incorporating Celtic and Pictish design. "Celtic design is an ancient art form, but there is a sense of mystique surrounding Celtic Art which means that it has a timeless appeal. Our products use many different Celtic designs inspired by stones carved during Scotland's Dark Ages. People from all age groups and cultures can appreciate the intricacy and beauty of these designs and feel a connection to an ancient age. Our designs are all original and new, but are inspired by ancient times. We have a definite fascination with all things old."
